Beet Root

High in nitrates known to boost stamina and endurance and help maintain healthy blood pressure levels.

Beet Root (Beta vulgaris L.) is a rich source of both dietary nitrates and the betalain pigments which give Beet Root its characteristic reddish–purple color. Previous studies have shown that drinking Beet Root juice can boost stamina and increase endurance. It is thought that the beneficial effect of drinking Beet Root juice is related to the presence of dietary nitrates in the Beet Root.

Beet Roots are a good source of bioflavonoids, manganese, potassium, Vitamin C, magnesium, phosphorus and dietary fibers, both soluble and insoluble. The B-vitamin Folate, essential for normal tissue growth, is also found in rich quantities in Beet Root.

Beets may be helpful in supporting liver and eye health, maintaining healthy cholesterol levels, blood purity and cell wall elasticity. They also provide iron to support and oxygenate blood cells and the absorption of this iron is aided by the copper content of Beet Root. The juice is also considered an aphrodisiac, being rich in boron, which plays an important role in the production of sex hormones.*
